What are some of the benefits of receiving massage?
There are many benefits to receiving massage such as increased circulation, feelings of relaxation, lower blood pressure, increased range of motion, reduction of cramps and muscle spasms, increased joint flexibility, and overall feelings of relaxation.
What should I expect before, during and after a massage therapy session?
You should expect to be treated in a professional manner at all times. Your massage therapist will start by having you fill out an intake form which helps inform the therapist of any recent or past injuries or ailments. Your therapist will then check in to see how you are feeling before the massage and discuss what forms of massage may be appropriate for you.
You should expect a safe and professional environment, to always be covered except for the area being worked, complete privacy for undressing and dressing, and to undress to your level of comfort. You will be treated with respect both verbally and non-verbally, without judgment and have complete control over the entire session.
After your session you may feel relaxed and rested, or refreshed and ready to continue with your daily activities. Always remember to drink plenty of water after your session.
Can I receive massage at my studio, concert event, office or home?
You can receive massage at a location other then my office. With advanced notice I can prepare a portable massage table and all accessories such as sheets and lotions for your services that day, or at a future date. As long as I have enough room to set up the massage table, about 7 by 10 feet, I can set up just about anywhere.
What should I do to prepare for my massage therapy session?
Try to give yourself plenty of time to either drive to my office location, or unwind if I am providing services on location. If you need to eat you may want to have a light snack. Always try to drink plenty of good quality, clean water throughout the day, as well as after the session.
